Glitz Glam New Years Eve Party Guide

New Years Eve is just around the corner and if you thinking about hosting a New Years Eve party for family and friends than our guide to a Glitz Glam NYE Party might just be what you need to celebrate the beginning of 2016 in style.

Here's how to create a Glitz Glam NYE party at your place:

Glitzy Drinks Station

If you are hosting a party at home the chances are that you would much prefer to be mingling and greeting your guests instead of being stuck in the kitchen or behind the bar, make it easy for your guests to help themselves with a ready to go drink station.

Sparkler or Confetti Bar
Nothing says New Years Eve like a bit of sparkle, so treat your guests with a sparkler or confetti bar for them to ring in the new year with a bit of sparkle.

Who doesn't love a photo or selfie booth!? A photo to help you remember your new years resolutions after a few glasses of bubbly is probably also a good thing!

Tiki New Years Eve Pop-Up Party!

Are you thinking about hosting a New years Eve party for family and friends to ring in 2016? A Pop-Up Tiki Party would be a perfect and easy choice!

Here's how to create a fun tropical Tiki Party at your place:

1. Tiki Bar
Start with a Tiki Bar - Hire, Buy or DIY, this will be the focal point of your party - and since it's a bar it will be functional as well.

2. Cocktails!
If you are catering to a crowd the easiest way is to either hire bar staff, or create a drinks station that allows guests to easily serve themselves - And with so many pre-mix cocktails around you can easily create a tropical cocktail bar.
Get creative with a Pineapple shaped Drinks Dispenser, or novelty glassware such as the body of a pineapple, a few plastic coconut shells or mason jars. Don't forget the mini umbrella's and the fruit garnish!

3. Decorations
Turn your deck or garden into a lush tropical island with plenty of palm trees, tiki umbrella's, bamboo and pineapples. Decorations can be anything from plants, posters, coasters, or tealight candles. They can be hanging from the ceiling or maybe propped up on the bar.

4. Photobooth & Fun
Lastly, set up a spot for a bit of fun with either a photobooth or a game like Limbo or pineapple bowling. These will get your guests interacting and having fun either participating or watching others.

Tropical Glam Fab 40th!

Sometimes it all just comes together perfectly, and Olga's Tropical Glam Fab 40th was just one of those times. We worked with Olga to create the WOW factor she wanted her guests to have at her Tropical Glam Cocktail Party last month.
Held at her beautiful home, the guests walked through a sea of gold ribbon hanging from shimmering fuchsia and metallic orange balloons to get to the party area.
The centerpieces for the dry bar tables were a mix of flowers and candles and we incorporated mini tiki torches too to keep the mozzies away.
The multi-layered grazing station was designed around the beautiful 3-tiered cake, and meant that guests could help themselves throughout the night so nobody left hungry.
Mini pineapples, lemons, limes and oranges were all featured throughout the party in keeping with the tropical theme.

We strung 220m of fairy lights with 80 fuchsia and orange lanterns over the pool and covering the entire garden and patio area.

The party was zoned into 3 main areas, a lounge for guests to relax and chat, the dance floor with the DJ and the cocktail bar where our Hampton's Bar was the main feature.

Beers & Bottles Baby Shower

Baby showers have become a little predictable, and even cringe worthy with the thought of the dreaded 'baby shower games'.

So when Shaun & Ruth were visiting from New Zealand it was the perfect time to celebrate the impending birth of their first child and the grand adventure of becoming parents.
A small family affair called for a special type of event - Beers & Bottles - A Gender Neutral Baby Shower

As the party was small, there was no need for a large cake, or dessert table, so we created a faux dessert table where everything was made from baby clothes, booties and bibs. And the cake was made from new born nappies.
